Importing Flags Using a Spreadsheet in NPG Cloud

The Import Data feature in NamePrint Graphics Cloud (NPG Cloud) allows you to add flags to your badge templates using Excel spreadsheets (*.csv or *.xlsx). This is especially helpful when creating multiple badges that include country or organization flags.

This feature only supports flags available in the default Flags List within NPG Cloud. If you need a flag that is not included, it will need to be added manually within the template editor.

Step-by-step guide to importing flags

1. Prepare your spreadsheet

Before importing, create your Excel file using the correct format. Your spreadsheet should include separate columns for names and flags.

For each flag field, enter the exact file name, including the word FLAG:, followed by the full file name and the .png extension.

Example: FLAG:Canada.png

If your template includes more than one flag, simply add additional columns for each one.

To find the correct flag file name, open your template in NPG Cloud, click the edit (pen) icon, and review the available flag options.

2. Upload your spreadsheet

Once your spreadsheet is ready, navigate to the Import Data feature in NPG Cloud and upload your file.

After uploading, select the appropriate text field and click Import.

3. Review and Edit Templates

After importing, review each badge and make changes if needed. Hover over the template and click the pen icon to update the name or flag.

4. Print Your Badges

When your templates are ready, add them to your print queue by clicking the plus icon, then navigate to the Print menu.

If using a blank insert sheet, the logo, name, and flag will print. If your inserts already include a pre-printed logo, only the name and flag will print.

Important Printing Setup Tips

1. Set print scale to 100% or Actual Size.
2. Print a test page on blank paper before using badge inserts.
3. Place a blank insert sheet over the test print to confirm alignment.
